Why should you bother revising for your GCSE? What is so special about GCSE?
Well, GCSE examination is the point when your knowledge is assessed: what you have learnt throughout these years of education, whether you are qualified enough to continue studying in the higher educational establishments, i.e. college. If you want to continue studying, you are to pass this examination. If you want to pass it successfully, you are to do GCSE revision.
How do you start your GCSE revision?
This depends on the subject you are going to pass and your knowledge of the course. For example, if you are great at English: you rarely make even minor spelling mistakes, you are good at organizing your ideas on paper,- you should use this time saved on English GCSE revision to prepare for other subjects you are not so good at.
This is very important to manage your time wisely and effectively: your GCSE revision might last weeks or you might concentrate on it and work hard for around 5 days. Besides, the course you have problems with should not be left for the last day of GCSE revision: you should have enough time to go through all important topics of this course while doing your GCSE revision. So, good time management together with the list of priorities will be of great help for you!
What is the most efficient way of doing GCSE revision?
Surely, when you are doing GCSE revision – nobody and nothing should distract you. If you believe that music will help you work more productively – then turn it on, however, you should turn off the TV and your phone. GCSE revision can be an interesting process if you do not have to start learning the course all over again. There is no need to memorize each word of your textbook – if you got the main idea of a section, go on revising the next one.
